Stampin' Up!© Friends Are Like Seashells

Hello! Welcome to today's post!

Before I talk about my card for today, I want to remind you that Stampin' Up! is offering FREE SHIPPING on Thursday, June 24 on all orders of $50+.  Don't miss this chance to stock up on your favorite products, and pay NO SHIPPING!

One more "housekeeping" reminder:  The 2021 Jan-June Mini Catalog will be retiring on June 30.  There's still a little time to order products from this Catalog, but supplies are dwindling, so shop soon.  Click HERE to go to my online store.  Shop on Thursday, and get FREE shipping - what great timing for both these promotions.

On to today's card.

The stamp set and dies were introduced in the Mini Catalog, but did carry over as a Bundle in the current 2021-2022 Annual Catalog (Item #159516). Click SEASHELLS to see.

I also used the basket die from a new product, the dies called Seasonal Basket Dies (Item #155960).  Or get the Bundle with Season's Blessings Stamp Set Item #155485, and save 10%.  See the bundle by clicking BASKET.

I used these inks on the card:  Blushing Bride, So Saffron, an Crumb Cake.  The embellishments I used are Opal Rounds (Item #154289). I used the sponge to add a look of sand on the bottom edge of the card front.

Details for making the card

Card base:  Crumb Cake card stock, 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", score/fold at 4 1/4".

Layer of Espresso card stock:  5 3/8" x 4 1/8".  Glue to the card base.

Basic White Card stock:  5 1/4" x 4".  Sponge some Crumb Cake ink along the bottom edge in a "pouncing" motion to some sand-like texture.

Stamp & die cut the star fish, seashells, and sand dollar:

  • Starfish:  So saffron ink onto So Saffron CS
  • Sand Dollar:  Crumb Cake ink onto Crumb Cake CS.
  • Shells:  Blushing Bride ink onto Blushing Bride CS.

Die cut the basket from Basic White CS, then use the sponge to add Crumb Cake ink.  I added slightly more ink in some areas on the basket to give a variety of color.

Stamp the sentiment directly onto the card front using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere the shells and basket.  Place the basket slightly tilted and have some of the seashells falling out of it.

Add a few of the Opal Rounds as you like.

I then adhered the image panel to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

.

Inside:  Basic White CS 5 1/4" x 4", stamp a starfish using So Saffron ink.   (I may be stamping a Happy Birthday inside if I decide to use this card for a friend's birthday, but I wanted to keep it more general for this post.)

That is all there is to it - I hope you like it.

Let me know if you have any questions or need a Demonstrator.  I would love to help in any way I can.  Remember the FREE SHIPPING on the 24th!

I appreciate you taking a look today; please come again soon!

Till the next time, take care....~JULIE
