Stampin' Up!© Sweet Ice Cream

 Who screams for ice cream??

My card today serves up 3 scoops!  I'm also giving a sneak peak of some new products with this card, that will be available in the upcoming 2021-2022 Annual Catalog starting May 4.

Here are the card components:

  • Card base:  Basic white CS, 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", fold at 4 1/4".
  • White CS, 5 1/2" x 4 1/4";  embossed with the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder (#149643).
  • Sweet Ice Cream Bundle (in the Jan-June Mini Catalog):  photopolymer stamp set + Ice Cream Cone Builder Punch.
    • Bundle item #156244 - save 10% when you purchase the Bundle
    • Separately: punch, #154241;  stamps, #154456

  • Striped DSP:  Pattern Party 12" x 12" DSP - available starting May 4.
  • Scallop die from Scalloped Contours Dies - available starting May 4.

  • Stitched Rectangles Dies, #151820
  • Inks:  Flirty Flamengo, Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay, Cinnamon Cider, Early Espresso

The steps to construct the card:

  • Cut the striped DSP approximately 3" x 5 1/2" then die-cut one long edge using the scallop die from Scalloped Contours Dies.
  • Emboss white cardstock (5 1/2" x 4 1/4" piece) with the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder; adhere to the card base.
  • Adhere the scalloped striped piece by gluing just the top edge and using Stampin' Dimensionals along the scalloped edge, giving it an "awning" feel.
  • Stamp the 3 ice cream scoops and sprinkles on top of each scoop, in three colors onto white CS; punch these out using the Ice Cream Cone Builder Punch.
  • Stamp the cone with Cinnamon Cider ink onto white CS and punch out.  Adhere the cone & first scoop with dimensionals, then glue the next two scoops, overlapping.
  • Stamp the 2 sentiments using Early Espresso ink onto white CS, and die cut using the Stitched Rectangles Dies.  Glue to card front.

That's all there is to it!

Here is another version.  For this one, I stamped the "Happy Birthday" directly onto the striped DSP using Espresso ink.  I again stamped 3 scoops of ice cream, and also stamped 3 cones to go with, which I assembled and glued directly onto the card front.  I did still use the dimensionals under the scalloped border of the "awning."

What do you think?  Which one do you prefer?

It is so much fun to use this Sweet Ice Cream Bundle.  I hope you'll give it a try!
