Our theme is Thank You.
For my card today, I am highlighting several of our Stampin' Up! products that are set to retire. I will list them at the bottom of the blog. These products in the current Annual Catalog are retiring in order to make room for new items coming soon in the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. The retiring products are available to purchase only while supplies last. Once they are gone, they're gone! Click HERE to visit my online store.
The stamp set, Special Someone, and the coordinating Special Day Dies, are favorites of mine to use & make cards for many occasions. It has the two-step stamping technique to create some very cute critters, as well as balloons, floral images, and timely sentiments in a couple of different fonts. So versatile! As you can see in the photo above, I used the racoon image from the set. He's holding a pretty little flower to thank someone special.
The Designer Series Paper, also retiring, is Ornate Garden Specialty paper, full of gorgeous floral patterns. Some paper selections in this pack have gold foil on them - that's what makes them "specialty" papers.
The circle punches, 2" and 2 1/4" are on the retiring list. I punched out the larger 2 1/4" circle in Terracotta Tile card stock, which is one of the 2019-2021 In Colors that is retiring. The 2" circle is punched from Basic White CS.
The card base is Basic White CS, and then a layer of Terracotta Tile CS to frame the DSP. Sentiment stamped in Terracotta Tile. The Racoon lined image is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto white CS, then the solid image stamped in Early Espresso ink (filling in the head & body of the racoon).
Coordinating Dies cut the racoon, the flower and the word bubble. I've added a piece of Scalloped Linen Ribbon in Terracotta Tile (also retiring); you can see, below, on the final card. I also used another piece of the DSP on the envelope.
Here is a slightly different version of the card, to show you another selection from the same pack of Ornate Garden Specialty DSP.
The card base for this 2nd card is Early Espresso, and I also used one of the larger flowers from the stamp set, also die-cut; So Saffron ink used on this card; sentiment again stamped in Terracotta Tile.I hope this little racoon put a smile on your face. Do you have a favorite of the two cards?
