Stampin' Up! © Butterfly Bouquet Preview

Coming in March!

Early release of new stamp set, dies, designer series paper, natural touch specialty paper - these are featured products from the new, upcoming 2021 Annual Catalog, but available soon!!  Customers can begin to order them starting Tuesday, March 2.

The DSP is 6" x 6" package of 48 sheets.  Colors are: Basic Black, Bermuda Bay, Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, Just Jade, Magenta Madness, Mango Melody, Mint Macaron, Misty Moonlight, Poppy Parade, So Saffron, Basic White.

The stamps + dies can be purchased in a bundle, saving 10%.  It's called the Butterfly Brilliance Bundle, item 155821.  Included in the die selection is one large die that coordinates with the DSP to cut out 6 butterfly images at once.

Largest die, bottom left, fits exactly over the DSP and cuts out 6 butterflies at once.

I've made a couple of cards with the Butterfly Bouquet products.   I used the largest die to cut out several butterflies from the DSP at one pass through the Cut & Emboss Machine.  I then used some of the cut-outs on each card.  Take a look!

Butterfly Thank You Card

Products used to create this are:

  • Butterfly Bijou 6" x 6" DSP
  • Card stock:  Basic White, Just Jade
  • Ink:  Just Jade
  • Stamp sets:
    • Corner Bouquet (155273) FREE Sale-a-Bration set (with $50 purchase) - through 2/28/21.
    • Sweet Strawberry 154394, or Bundle with Strawberry Builder Punch - Bundle item 156214 (Mini Catalog).
  • Dies:  Brilliant Wings Dies
  • Adhesives:  Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430).
  • Cut & Emboss Machine (149653)

Putting it together:

  • Cut the DSP 5 1/4" x 4".  Stamp the sentiment  and the corner floral image in Just Jade Ink directly onto the DSP.  Using the large multi-butterfly die from Brilliant Wings Dies, cut butterflies from a piece of the Butterfly Bijou DSP.  For the smallest yellow butterfly, you will need to fussy cut that one.  Adhere the largest butterfly with dimensionals, and the 2 smaller butterflies with liquid glue, onto the DSP.
  • Layer and glue the designed piece onto a layer of Just Jade CS, 5 3/8" x 4 1/8".  Glue this all onto Basic White card base, 11"x 4 1/4" folded at 5 1/2".
I love the background DSP!  So soft and pretty.  What do you think?

One in a Million Butterfly Card

Products:

  • Butterfly Bijou 6" x 6" DSP - select the one with all the small background butterflies on it.  (you don't have to stamp any of those!  Whew!); and the large butterfly is cut from the same piece of DSP as the first card.  It's just waiting to be used on this card.
  • Card stock:  Basic Black, Basic White
  • Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Stamp Set + Dies Bundle:  Quite Curvy Bundle (Mini Catalog) - 156228.
  • Other Dies:  Brilliant Wings Dies
  • Adhesives:  Liquid glue, Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Cut & Emboss Machine.

Putting it together:

  • Stamp the sentiment from Quite Curvy stamp set with black ink onto white card stock; die cut with the Quite Curvy die, in 2 steps, to get a curved strip.

  • Die cut the largest butterfly from the DSP. (or use previously cut butterfly as I mentioned above.)
  • Cut a panel piece of the DSP 4" x 5 1/4";  Glue the sentiment piece onto the DSP panel (trim ends, if necessary); adhere the large butterfly with dimensionals, overlapping the sentiment.
  • Glue the panel to a layer of Basic Black card stock, 4 1/8" x 5 3/8"; glue all to the Basic White card base, 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" folded at 4 1/4".
