Stampin' Up! © Berry Delightful

Sale-A-Bration is happening through the end of February.  This is the time to stock up on your crafting and stamping supplies, such as card stock, DSP, adhesives, inks and Blender pens, and more.  When your purchase totals $50 (before tax, shipping) you will choose a Level 1 free Sale-a-Bration item; or if total is $100, choose a Level 2 item.

One of my favorite Level 2 items it the Berry Blessings stamp set + Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper (157613).   I love what versatility these products provide.

I want to share a card I made today using the Berry Delightful DSP in two ways - first, as a mat for my image piece; and 2nd, I cut out the berry images from one of the papers to fill a basket.  The basket is a stamp from the set Basket of Blooms, and the sentiment is from the stamp set Sweet Strawberry (which by the way, coordinates so beautifully with the Berry Delightful DSP I'm using).

Supplies & measurements:

  • Card Base:  Pacific Point CS (111350), 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", fold at 4 1/4".
  • Mat layer:  Berry Delightful DSP, 4" x 3".  (157613)
  • Basic White CS (159276) for stamped image: 3 3/8" x 2 1/2".  White piece for sentiment, 1" x 2".
  • Stamp sets:  Basket of Blooms (item 153305), Sweet Strawberry + Punch Bundle (156214).
  • Ink:  Pacific Point Classic Ink Pad (147098); Cinnamon Cider (153114); So Saffron (147109); Seaside Spray (150085); Stampin' Blends Combo Pack, Crumb Cake (154882)
Shop the supplies HERE.

Steps for making the card:

  • Glue the mat piece onto the card base.
  • Stamp the basket image using Cinnamon Cider ink onto the white CS (3 3/8" x 2 1/2" piece).  Stamp the same image a 2nd time onto a scrap of white CS and "fussy cut" (i.e free-hand cut) it out.  Set aside for now.
  • Fill the basket with fruit:
    • I "fussy cut" the berry images from one of the selections in the package of DSP.   I glued the fruit cut-out pieces to fill the basket.  Place some slightly overlapping each other, continuing until you have a full basket.  (It doesn't take that many berries to fill.)
  • Next, use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the 2nd basket image (the one previously cut out) over the top of the stamped basket to give a 3D effect.
  • I stamped the little floral image from the Sweet Strawberry stamp set using So Saffron for the solid image & Seaside Spray for the floral outline.  Then I punched the flower out using the Berry Builder Punch.  I glued the flower to the front of the basket.
  • I used a Stampin' Blend in Light Crumb Cake just below the basket, to "seat" it on a surface/table.
  • Stamp the sentiment in Pacific Point ink onto a small white CS, approximately 1" x 2"; cut a flag on one end. Glue or pop-up with Dimensionals, to the card front.
  • Finally, glue the basket-image piece on to the mat and card base.
That's all there is to it!  What do you think?

In a previous blog, January 6, I used the same package of Berry Delightful DSP to make card that could be a non-traditional colored Valentine.
The stamp set for the heart image is Lots of Heart (item 154348), or get the Bundle, that includes the coordinating dies - use item 156202.   Click HEARTS to see the previous blog & all the details for this card.

I hope you found some inspiration from the cards today.  Remember, the DSP comes with a coordinating stamp set, and are FREE when you have a qualifying order.  But only while Sale-a-Bration lasts, through Feb.28.

Thanks for stopping by the blog, today.  I hope you will come back again, soon.
