Stampin' Up!© Wrapped Bouquet

Today I'd like to share a card I made using the Wrapped Bouquet stamp set and coordinating dies.

Products used on this card:
  • Wrapped Bouquet stamp set & coordinating Wrapped Flowers Dies
  • Subtle 3D Embossing Folder
  • Night of Navy card stock
  • Night of Navy ink
  • So Saffron ink
  • Mossy Meadow ink
  • Whisper White or Basic White card stock
  • Blending Brushes
  • Stampin' Blends, Poppy Parade
  • Linen Thread
  • Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
  • Stampin' Dimensionals
  • Liquid Multipurpose glue

I used the new Blending Brushes to apply So Saffron ink to the background, giving the bouquet a subtle background.  I stamped the images, cut them out using dies, and colored in the flowers with Stampin' Blends.  Then it was assembled and adhered to card stock that I had embossed with the Subtle 3D EF to add some texture.

The stamps and dies are available as a Bundle, saving you 10% when you purchase as a bundle.  You can find the bundle in the 2021 January-June Mini Catalog.  Item 156217

Stamp set, dies, and 3D Embossing Folder

Blending Brushes 153611

Here are the measurements:

  • Card base:  Night of Navy card stock, 11" x 4 1/4", fold at 5 1/2",
  • Another piece of Night of Navy CS:  4 1/4" x 5 1/2"; emboss with the Subtle 3D Emboss Folder (Item 151775 in Annual Catalog);  glue to the card base.
  • Whisper White or Basic White CS:  5 1/8" x 3 7/8".  Using the new Blending Brushes (153611), apply some So Saffron Ink to the center of this white layer.  Stamp the sentiment from the Wrapped Bouquet stamp set with Night of Navy Ink in the upper right-hand corner.
  • Two scraps of white CS:  on one, stamp the bunch of flowers using Mossy Meadow Ink; on the 2nd piece, stamp the "newsprint" image in Seaside Spray Ink.  Die-cut these images out, using the coordinating Wrapped Flowers Dies.
  • Another scrap of white:  stamp the "for you" in Night of Navy ink; cut out using the die for the little tag.
Putting it all together:
  • Color the flowers in, using Stampin' Blends in light & dark Poppy Parade.  Add small black dots using a fine-tip marker (optional).
  • Fold the newsprint piece along the score lines that the die formed when it was cut out.  Wrap the folded newsprint around the base of the flowers.  Using Linen Thread (104199), wrap around the news print twice & tie a knot &/or bow (I first tied a knot, then made a bow).
  • Using glue or a glue dot, adhere the little "for you" tag under the tied bow.
  • I adhered the wrapped bunch of flowers to the card front this way:  put Stampin' Dimensionals behind the flowers and Liquid Multipurpose glue behind the wrapping; adhere to card front.  Since the wrapping around the bouquet is already rather prominent, I didn't want to pop it up any more than it already was.  That is why I just used Multipurpose glue behind it, but used the Stampin' Dimensionals for the flower section.  That "levels out" the entire package. ( I hope that's not too confusing.)

This is a fun set to play with.  The flower images are so pretty, too.  Make and send this card for any special person in your life - I'm sure they will love it!

I hope you found some inspiration here, today.  Let me know what you think of this card.   To shop the supplies, click HERE and add all items to your cart, or just the ones you need (de-select items you don't need).
