Stampin' Up!© Vine Design

 

One afternoon, the sun was casting shadows of leaves from a plant sitting on my window sill, onto the green wall in my kitchen. I thought, how pretty.  And you know what?  That was my inspiration for the background on this card.  So there you are!  Inspiration can can from anywhere at anytime.  Shadows on the wall!!

Card base is Mossy Meadow card stock, 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", folded in half (4 1/4").  To this, adhere a layer or Whisper White or Basic White card stock, 5 1/8" x 3 7/8".

For the stamped layer, I started with a piece of Mint Macaron card stock, 5" x 3 3/4".  Then, using my latest favorite tool, the Blending Brushes, I applied Mossy Meadow ink all around the border, darker on the edges and lighter as I blended toward the center.  I left the Mint Macaron showing clearly in the center.  Next I stamped the large leaf image from Vine Design stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink.   I went back and added more of the blended Mossy Meadow ink just to the borders to increase the contrast between the edges and the center.   This piece was adhered to the card front.

I stamped a sentiment from the same set in Mossy Meadow ink onto white card stock; I cut a flag end on this piece.  I stamped floral images from the set in Flirty Flamingo ink onto white CS and die cut them out with the coordinating Flowering Vine Dies. 

Assembly:   Using Small Glue Dots, I adhered a Gold Hoop to the card, placing the glue dots under the hoop where I knew the sentiment piece would cover them.  Then, with a couple more glue dots, I adhered the sentiment on top of the hoop.  Next, I glued down the floral pieces, the large one onto the sentiment, the 3 little ones in the corner (I used Liquid Multipurpose glue).   All finished!  What do you think?
