Stampin' Up! Sweetest Time Wreath

Hello, and thanks for stopping by my blog, today!  I have a card that I made using SU Wreath Builder Dies and decorated with sweets from two stamp sets:  Sweetest Time for the peppermint candies, and Warm Hugs for the little candy canes.  The Wreath Builder Dies provide all the rest.

Here's what I did.

Card base is Whisper White Card Stock, 11" x 4 1/4", score & fold at 5 1/2".

Layer of Smoky Slate Card Stock, 3 7/8" x 4".   Another piece of the Smoky Slate for the sentiment, 3 7/8" x 1 1/8".

Stamp the sentiment with Versa Mark & heat emboss with white embossing powder.  Cut flag ends.

Build the wreath, using the dies from Wreath Builder Dies:  the 2 types of wreaths, the poinsettias, the bow.

  • Die cut the 2 types of wreaths, one in Whisper White CS, one in Silver Foil.  I layered the silver leaves on top of the white leaf wreath, and glued using Liquid Multipurpose glue.
  • Die cut 3 poinsettias out of Real Red CS.  Use the small circle die to cut 3 centers out of Daffodil Yellow CS.  Glue the yellow centers to the backs of the poinsettias.  The yellow shows through the holes in the die-cut flowers.
  • Stamp the candies using Real Red ink on to white CS.  The peppermint candy stamp is in the Sweetest Time Stamp Set; stamp and punch using 1/2" circle punch or fussy cut.  The candy cane stamp is in the Warm Hugs Stamp Set and is a 2-step stamp:  I stamped the stripes first, then stamped the outline.  The candy cane image is then die cut using the coordinating dies, Warm Wraps Dies.
  • Arrange the flowers and candies and glue onto the wreaths.  Die cut the bow from Wreath Builder Dies out of Real Red CS; glue to wreath.
  • I used Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the finished wreath to the Smoky Slate layer, and also used Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment piece.  I added 2 Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the sentiment piece.

There you have it!

The Wreath Builder Dies come in a bundle with Arrange a Wreath Stamp Set, saving 10%. (Item #154109).  With both the stamps and the dies, you can create wreaths for many seasons and occasions.

The Warm Hugs Bundle (stamp set + dies) also saves 10% (Item 155145).  The stamp set is on the Retiring Products list, and will no longer be available after January 4 (or when supplies run out), but the dies will be carrying over to next year.
