Hello! Thanks for stopping by today! I have a very "gingerbready" treat for you!
If you are a subscriber to the monthly Paper Pumpkin Kits, I have an alternative project for the November Kit. If you are NOT a subscriber, click HERE for more information, or keep on reading how to become a subscriber.
What is Paper Pumpkin? Paper Pumpkin is Stampin' Up! monthly subscription kit. Sign up by the 10th of each month and you will receive a surprise package in your US Mail each month. We get just a little preview of what is coming each month, but not what the box will entirely hold.
For the month of DECEMBER: Sign up by December 10 to get the Beary Comforting Paper Pumpkin Kit. Just click the cute bear image in the right-hand panel to subscribe.
The kits are all inclusive, meaning you get stamps, Ink Spot, card bases, die cuts, embellishments, stampin' dimensionals, glue dots, ribbon or twine, etc., depending on each month's project. And in your first kit when you subscribe, you will receive an acrylic block for mounting your stamps. Also included is an illustrated instruction brochure for all the "how-tos" to complete the cards or projects in the kit. What's even greater, you can use the products in the kit and other stampin' supplies you already may have, to make any number of alternative cards, scrapbook pages, or other projects. But if your supplies are more limited, not to worry. As I said, everything you'll need to make cards or other projects, is in the kit! It's a great way to begin to build your supplies. The price for all this is $22/month, and that includes shipping. That's a great deal, wouldn't you say? To subscribe, and for all the information go HERE.
To get an idea of an alternative project, let's look at the card I made using last month's kit. If you have the November kit, then you, too, can create this card. If you are not yet a subscriber, I hope you'll just enjoy seeing the possibilities. It's not too late to subscribe for the December kit. Click the cute Bear before Dec.10, and it will soon be on it's way!
November's kit was called Jolly Gingerbread, and I used the stamps and some of the candy embellishments to create this card.
Yes, it may look over-the-top cute, and pretty busy, but that's what a gingerbread house is, right? Lots of scroll work, and hearts & gingerbread house. In addition to the kit contents, I used products I had on hand: the Wreath Builder Dies, Arrange a Wreath stamp set & card stock (Cinnamon Cider, Shaded Spruce, Calypso Coral, and Whisper White), and Layering Circle Dies.
Inks that I used were Cinnamon Cider, Shaded Spruce, Calypso Coral. I colored the house roof and other details using Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends. I used Cinnamon Cider Write Marker to ink up the scroll stamp that was then stamped in the corners of the card base.
I cut the wreaths & bows. I stamped the house, colored it with the Blends, and fussy cut it out.
I glued the wreaths onto a circle cut with Layering Circle die. I glued the house to the wreaths, and I added the bows (the green bow shadows the coral bow) beneath the house.
The way I got the scroll work in the corners of the card base was like this: ink up just half of the stamp, just part of the image of the entire stamp, by coloring directly onto the stamp, using a Stamp & Write Cinnamon Cider Marker pen. Then stamp the corner. Repeat coloring/inking the stamp & stamping in each additional corner.
Glue the wreath + house piece to the card base. Stamp hearts using the stamp set Arrange a Wreath, in Calypso Coral on to white card stock; die cut using Build A Wreath Dies. Glue hearts to the card base. Add the candy elements from the November Kit onto the wreath. Stamp the sentiment from the Kit onto the die piece, also in the Kit, and glue to card base above the wreaths. And done!
I hope you like how this turned out. What do you think?
I can't tell you what will be in the coming December Kit, but something to do with bears, and something comforting. We can sure use that now, right? I can't wait!! Subscribe by December 10, and you'll see what it's all about, too. This might just be the one you won't want to miss. You can cancel or suspend your subscription for any month, as long as you do so before the 10th of the month. So that's the important date to keep in mind. The 10th! You can also pre-pay for a 3-month, 6-month, or 12-month subscription. See all the details HERE.
Thanks for coming today! If you have any questions, please let me know. I'd love to help in any way I can with your crafting projects. If you're in the US and need a Demonstrator, I'd love to be yours.
Stop by again soon! Stay safe, be well, take care...Julie
