Stampin' Up!© EVERY CHAPTER

Welcome to my blog today!

Every Chapter #158017

When I saw this stamp set, Every Chapter, in the new 2022 Jan-June Mini Catalog, I immediately put it on my wish list!  I love books, I love pretty tea cups, I wear glasses! Ha! It's the perfect stamp set for me to create cards with.  For my card, I stamped the image, then I fussy-cut it, trimming off the bottom book from the stamped image.

You may notice that some of the "titles" on the books don't show up on my finished card.  To make the stamp even more versatile, I followed the idea of two other SU Demonstrators (Christine Versluis, Meg Loven) and carefully cut out two sections from the actual rubber stamp (YES! I said cut out!).   Can you see the words that are missing?  Now the stamp can be used for many occasions, such as graduation, retirement, wedding, or many other adventures.    (missing words:  "I", "OF OUR"; also "FRIENDSHIP" but that last book not used on my card).

The layer of DSP I used is called Abstract Beauty.

Abstract Beauty DSP - new size, 4" x 6"

The pretty floral layer of Designer Series Paper is also in the Mini Catalog:  Abstract Beauty.  All the selections in this DSP pack are SO beautiful!  There are gold foil accents on one side of each selection.  Order it separately (#158039) or get it in the Abstract Beauty Suite Collection (#158052). On pp.48-49 in the Mini Catalog.  Go ABSTRACT to see the Collection now.

If you haven't yet checked out the new Mini, just click the Catalog image in the top-right panel to download the PDF of the Catalog.  Then flip through the pages to see all the stamps, Dies, DSP and more.  Don't forget, the Bundles (stamps + dies, stamps + punch) save you 10%.

When you're ready, place your order HERE.

The details to make today's card:

Card base:  Daffodil Yellow card stock 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", fold at 4 1/4".

DSP layer:   Abstract Beauty DSP, 5 1/4" x 4".  Glue to the card base.

  • Stamp the Every Chapter image using Black Memento Ink onto Basic White CS.  Fussy cut the image, trimming off the bottom book as you do, leaving a stack of three books.  This fits better onto the other elements of this card.
  •   Color with Stampin' Blends (I used pinks, yellows and Just Jade - pulling the color choices from the DSP.
  • Using Sunflower Dies & Basic White CS:  Die cut the large white flower outline.  Glue the book image onto this.

Gold 3/8" Fine Art Ribbon (from the Annual Catalog):  cut some lengths of the ribbon and adhere to card front using glue dots or Stampin' Seal.  This Gold Ribbon coordinates beautifully with the gold accents in the DSP.

Using Stampin' Dimensionals, adhere the image piece over the ribbon.

Add some embellishments (optional):  I used the Loose Flower Flourishes (#155808), found in the Annual Catalog.

INSIDE:

  • Basic White CS:  4 1/2" x 3 1/4".
  • Sentiment:  from the Special Moments stamp set (one of the FREE items in the SAB Brochure) - stamp it in Magenta Madness Ink.  This stamp set has sentiments for lots of occasions.  A great one to have.
  • Adhere a strip of the DSP (I used the piece I had trimmed off when I cut the layer for the card front.)
  • Adhere to inside of card.

There you have it!  What do you think?

JANUARY HOST CODE:   T2WSNHBQ.   Add this code at Check-out when your order is under $150 (before tax & shipping fees) to receive a special thank you gift.  Don't use the code if your purchase totals $150 or greater - instead you will choose SU Rewards from any current catalog.

Thank you so much for taking a look at my blog, today.  I hope you found some inspiration.  If you have questions let me know; I'm happy to help in any way that I can with your crafting projects.

Till the next time, take care....JULIE
