Stampin' Up!© Sale-a-Bration: FREE Delicate Dahlias Stamps & Penguin Playmates DSP

 Hello!  Welcome!

The Sale-a-Bration promotion is now in the final month.  During this time, through September 30th, you can earn FREE products when you make either $50 purchase or $100 purchase (before tax, shipping) of Stampin' Up! products.  Today I want to show you a couple of the FREE items in this Fall's SAB Brochure.  To see all the products, click the Sale-a-Bration Brochure image in the right panel of this blog, and scroll through the PDF.

Ready to shop?  Hop over to my online store HERE.

HOST CODE FOR SEPTEMBER:    ZDECNQZP

Use the code at checkout when your order totals less than $150 (before tax, shipping costs) and I'll send you a thank you card & gift for shopping with me.   If your purchase totals $150 or greater, don't use this code, but instead choose products from any current catalog.

On today's card, I'm highlighting these 2 SAB products:

  • Delicate Dahlias Photopolymer Stamp Set - FREE with a $100 purchase
  • Penguin Playmates 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper - FREE with a $50 purchase

I used the flip side of one of the DSP selections on the Dahlia card.  The DSP pack has selections of some of the cutest characters - Penguins, polar bears, foxes, and more - but on the flip side you'll see stripes, polka dots, trees and other pretty selections.  Colors in the pack are Balmy Blue, Basic Black, Calypso Coral, Fresh Freesia, Just Jade, Misty Moonlight, Soft Sea Foam.  The papers coordinate with the Penguin Place Bundle (stamp set + punch) which you can see in the July-December Mini Catalog, p.33.  Choose this Bundle FREE as one of the specials when you join my team.  (see more details at the end of this blog.)

Penguin Playmates DSP - 158420.   FREE with a $50 purchase.

Other products used on the card:  Layering Circles Dies, Seasonal Labels Dies, Fresh Freesia Ink, Misty Moonlight Ink, Fresh Freesia card stock, Basic White CS.  For supplies click LIST.

The card really comes together quickly, which makes it perfect when you need to send a special thank you card.

Here are the details:

  • Card base:  Fresh Freesia card stock, 11" x 4 1/4", score & fold at 5 1/2".
  • Layer of DSP:  Penguin Playmates DSP 5 1/4" x 4".  Glue to the card base.
  • Fresh Freesia CS piece, approximated 3 3/4" x 3 3/4":  die-cut with Layering Circles Dies (scalloped edge die).
  • Floral piece:
    • A Basic White CS piece:  large enough to stamp the flower image (a 4" x 4" piece works).
    • Flower is a two-step stamping:  I started with the more solid flower, stamped with Fresh Freesia ink onto the white CS.  Then stamp over that image using the lined-image and Freesia ink again.  Then die-cut using the circle die, one size smaller than the scalloped-cut one.
  • Sentiment piece:
    • Another piece of white, approximately 3" x 3"
    • Stamp the sentiment from the Delicate Dahlias stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink.
    • Die cut it using a Seasonal Labels Die, positioning the die so that the sentiment is off-center, toward the right edge, since the large Dahlia piece will be overlapping this label. Stamp the small flower from the set, slightly off the edges, using Fresh Freesia ink.

Assemble:

  • Adhere the Dahlia circle to the scalloped circle with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Glue/adhere the label near the lower right-hand side of the card front (I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue).
  • Cut about 10" of Fresh Freesia Open Weave 3/8" Ribbon.  Using Glue Dots, adhere the ribbon in a loop configuration, placing the glue dots where they will be covered by the Dahlia piece.
  • Glue/adhere the Dahlia piece on top of the ribbon, overlapping the sentiment label.
  • Add embellishments (optional):  I used the 2021-2023 In Color Jewels.

Inside of card:  a couple of possibilities...

Basic White CS, 4" x 5 1/4" -  Stamp small flower with Fresh Freesia ink, OR cut a strip of the DSP and adhere to the bottom edge.

That's it for the card.  What do you think?
