August 2021 Monthly Blog Hop

Hi, and welcome to the August Blog Hop!

Thank you for joining us for our Stampin' Up!® Demonstrators Monthly Team Blog Hop!  We are so happy that you could join us today for ideas and creative inspiration.

We are a group of Stampin' Up!®  Demonstrators from around the world who are taking part in training that is helping us to build a successful Stampin' Up!® business and reach some goals we have set.  We really appreciate your support.

You may be starting here or have come from another blog - either way, you can find the link list at the bottom of this post so that you can see every blog post and idea today.  Don't miss a single one!

I hope you'll like the card I've created for this month's blog hop:

For our theme of customer THANK YOU cards, I have chosen to use some of the Beautifully Penned 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper.  This pack of papers is FREE as a Sale-a-bration Reward when you make a qualifying purchase ($50 USD).

This year, Stampin' Up!© is offering two SAB periods, and we are currently enjoying the second period:  shop the months of August & September & earn FREE PRODUCTS!  Visit my on-line store HERE.

Card Details:

  • Card base:  Poppy Parade card stock, 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", score & fold at 4 1/4".
  • Mat layer:  Basic Gray CS, 5 3/8" x 4 1/8".  Glue to the card base.
  • DSP layer:  Beautifully Penned floral selection, cut 5 1/4" x 4".  Glue onto of the basic gray.
  • Strip of DSP:  same selection from the Beautifully Penned pack, but the flip side, the striped side - cut a strip 5 1/4" x 3/4".  Depending how you cut it, you can have the stripes running horizontally, or vertically (see photo above). Glue this to the card front. (I positioned it about two-thirds of the way down the card front.
  • Now, using Layered Circles Dies, and using a piece of the same Beautifully Penned floral DSP, die-cut around one of the floral trios.  Color in the flowers with Stampin' Blends (Poppy Parade, Smoky Slate)
  • Die cut a piece of Basic Gray CS, one circle size larger than the floral piece.  Adhere the colored-in floral piece to this mat.

  • Using the coordinating Hand-Penned Petals stamp set, stamp the sentiment using Memento Black ink onto Basic Card Stock (a strip approximate 7/8" x 3 1/4"), then cut an angle off one end.

  • Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment and floral piece to the card front.
  • Add an embellishment of your choice - I used one of the Resin Hearts Embellishments, placed just under the "Thanks."  (see photo below for the finished cards.)

That's all there is to this card.  It comes together pretty quickly.  What do you think?

This paper is so versatile -  you can use any colors you like, and color the flowers in a number of different methods, such as with the blends, watercolor pencils, blending brushes, etc.  Then coordinate card stock card base to match.  Let you imagination go!

I hope you found some inspiration, today.  Now it's time to visit the next stop in our Demonstrators' Blog Hop.  You'll find the list below.

Thanks so much for taking a look!   Happy crafting!!    ~JULIE
