Today's card is made using several of the retiring Stampin' Up! products: Parcel & Petals  stamp set, Perfect Parcel Dies, Rococo Rose ink & card stock, Pretty Peacock ink & card stock.

For the card base I used Rococo Rose (8 1/2"x 5 1/2", folded at 4 1/4").  I used the Rococo Rose ink for the floral images, and Pretty Peacock ink for the leaves and sentiment.  These 2 colors are from the 2019-2021 In Colors selection, and are listed on the Last Chance Products List.

Parcels & Petals stamp set has some very nice sentiments and floral images.  I really like the fonts of the greetings, a mix of script and block lettering.  This set is a retiring product, as are the coordinating dies, Perfect Parcel Dies.  The 3 watercolor-appearing floral images are all one stamp.  What could be easier to use!

The basic stamping:  The background was created on a piece of Basic White card stock by stamping the floral image (in Rococo Rose), the leaves (Pretty Peacock), and the small floral-&-leaf image (Bumblebee ink, not retiring!).

I stamped a longer piece of white card stock, then trimmed it to fit the front of my card base.  Final size is 5 1/4" x 3 1/8".

Die cutting:   I used the dies to cut the pretty border of filigree flowers out of white card stock.  For this card (in a "landscape" orientation) I needed to cut the filigree twice so as to be long enough to span the bottom edge of the card base.

Inside the card I again stamped the floral image and some leaves.  The "Happy Mother's Day" is from Dressed to Impress stamp set; this set will be carrying over to the new Annual Catalog. (Yea!)

The details to create this pretty card are below.

Stamp & die cut:

  • Card base:  Rococo Rose CS, 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", fold at 4 1/4".
  • Basic White CS: 5 1/4" x 3 1/8".  Randomly stamp the floral and leaf images on this piece.  I stamped the Rococo flowers in full ink & also after stamping off once, to give different values (dark & lighter pink).
  • Strip of white CS:  stamp the sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink, then trim to 3" x 7/8".
  • Strip of Peacock CS:  approximately 3 3/4" x 1/2",  to mount under the sentiment piece.
  • Basic white CS to die cut the filigree floral twice.

Assemble:

  • Glue the floral-stamped piece to the card base.
  • Glue the 2 filigree pieces to the bottom border of the card base.
  • Glue the Peacock strip, then use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment on top of the Peacock piece.
  • Inside:
    • Basic White CS:  5 1/4" x 4".
    • Stamp flower image in Rococo; stamp leaves and sentiment in Peacock.  Adhere inside card base with glue.

The 2021-2023 In Colors are:
Polished Pink, Soft Succulent, Fresh Freesia, Pale Papaya, Evening Evergreen

Pale Papaya card base and flowers; Soft Succulent leaves; Fresh Freesia filler flower image.  Sentiment stamped in Soft Succulent; strip of Soft Succulent CS underneath the sentiment piece, Fresh Freesia Jewel embellishment.

Polished Pink card base and main flowers; Evening Evergreen leaves, sentiment, and strip of CS under sentiment piece; filler flowers are Pale Papaya.  Embellishment is Pale Papaya Jewel.

I hope you found some inspiration from my cards, today.  The stamp set can be used with whatever colors of cardstock and ink you currently have.  Or maybe it's time to try a new color?  Or play with different color combinations?  What do you think?    Have fun creating your own, unique cards!
