Stampin' Up!© Sale-A-Bration FREE Designer Series Papers

 Hi!  I'm so glad you stopped by today to visit my blog.   We are in the final weeks of Sale-A-Bration.  It's the time of year when you can earn FREE products!  



I want to show you how I used some of the Designer Series Papers that you can get as FREE Rewards during Sale-a-bration.  When your purchase of other SU products totals either $50 or $100 (before tax & shipping), you can choose either a Level 1 or a Level 2 product.  Among the products to choose are some very pretty Designer Series Papers.  They are very versatile to use.  In today's blog, take a look at how I used some of these papers.


Up first:  Flower & Field Designer Series Paper (item 155223), FREE with a $50 purchase.

  • Stamp Sets:  Painted Poppies (151599), Happy Thoughts (154507).
  • DSP:  Flower & Field (155223).
  • Card stock:  Basic White, Granny Apple Green
  • Inks:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Stampin' Blends (Poppy Parade, Granny Apple Green).
  • Dies:  Stitched So Sweetly Dies (151690)
  • Embellishments:  Matte Black Dots (154284)
  • Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755).


Measurements:

  • Card base:  white, 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", fold at 4 1/4".
  • Layer of Granny Apple Green:  5 1/8" x 3 7/8".
  • DSP layer:  5" x 3 3/4".
  • Stamped image:  white, die-cut using Stitched So Sweetly Die (approx. 3 3/4" x 2 1/2").

Steps to make this card:

  • Glue the layers of DSP, Granny Apple Green together & then to the white card base.
  • Stamp the poppy image (Painted Poppies stamp set) and the sentiment (Happy Thoughts Stamp set)using Memento black ink onto white CS; die cut .
  • Color in the poppy using Stampin' Blends (Poppy Parade, Granny Apple Green).


  • Glue the stamped image to the card front.
  • Add embellishments - Matte Black Dots (154284)
And the finished card:

Next card:  Berry Delightful DSP, comes combined with the Berry Blessings Stamp set as a Level 2 FREE choice (with $100 purchase) - ITEM 157613.

  • Stamp set:  Sweet Strawberry (Bundle with the Strawberry Builder Punch, (156214)
  • DSP:  Berry Delightful (comes as combo with stamps 157613).
  • Card stock:  Basic White, small piece of Granny Apple Green.
  • Punch & Dies:  Strawberry Builder Punch, Stitched So Sweetly Dies.
  • Ink:  Garden Green
  • Embellishments:  Flowers For Every Season Gems (153645).
  • Stampin' Dimensionals (104430).



Measurements:

  • Card base:  white CS, 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", fold at 4 1/4".
  • DSP layer:  the leaf DSP from Berry Delightful DSP, 5" x 3 3/4".
  • Die-cut pieces:
    • Berry DSP, approx. 3 1/2" x 2 1/2", using Stitched So Sweetly Dies
    • White card stock:  Stitched So Sweetly Dies: larger rectangle approx. 3 3/4" x 2 1/2"; smaller rectangle, approx.1 7/8" x 7/8".
  • Punched strawberry:  using the DSP, punch out the strawberry using the Strawberry Builder Punch.  For the strawberry hull:  stamp the hull lined image from Sweet Strawberry stamp set in Garden Green onto Granny Apple Green CS & then punch out.


Steps to make the card:

  • Glue the leaf DSP onto white card base.
  • Die cut the large rectangle in white and glue onto the leaf DSP.
  • Die cut the berry DSP and use Dimensionals to adhere to the white rectangle.
  • Stamp the sentiment from Sweet Strawberry stamp set in Garden Green ink onto white CS; die cut using the small rectangle from Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  Use Dimensionals to adhere to the berry DSP.
  • Stamp the lined hull image from Sweet Strawberry set using Garden Green onto Granny Apple Green CS and then punch out with the Strawberry Builder Punch.
  • Use the DSP that is red with yellow "seeds" and punch out the strawberry using the Builder Punch.
  • Glue the hull to the top of the strawberry; adhere to the card, overlapping the sentiment piece - use glue where it overlaps, and a Dimensional near the bottom of the berry.
  • Add embellishments - one clear embellishment to the berry, one green (jade) gem to the sentiment (or in any places you like).

Dies, punch, and the cut-out pieces are shown in the next two pictures:



And there you have a berry card using 3 of the paper selections (leaves, multi-strawberries, & seeded paper) from the Berry Delightful DSP.
