Stampin' Up!® Gift Wrapped

Who loves a surprise package topped off with a big, beautiful bow?

There are a lot of components to this card, but not to worry.  It's really fun to make.  Would you like the details?

Here are the products and measurements:

  • Stamp sets:  Gift Wrapped, Sweetest Time, Festive Corners
  • Punch & Dies:  Gift Bow Builder Punch, Beautiful Boughs Dies, Stitched Rectangles Dies
  • Designer Paper:  Heart Warming Hugs DSP, 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" for the gift; 1/2" x 3 1/2" for the striped ribbon; another striped piece to punch the bow.
  • Card Stock:
    •  Real Red card base (4 1/4" x 11", folded at 5 1/2")
    • Whisper White layer (5 3/8" x 4 1/8"), pieces of white for the two sentiments, the top bow, and the mini tag
    • Pear Pizzazz and Mossy Meadow for the pine boughs (die cut)
  • Ink:  Real Red Classic Stampin' Pad, Real Red Stampin' Blends, Mossy Meadow Stampin' Pad.
  • Red Rhinestones Basic Jewels

Directions:
  • Stamp the bow image in real red onto white cardstock; punch out using the Gift Bow Builder Punch; color in the stripes using Stampin' Blends.  Punch a 2nd bow from the red striped DSP from the Heart Warming Hugs DSP.  Glue the bows together, slightly off-set with the colored-in bow on top.
  • Glue the DSP "ribbon" strip (1/2" x 3 1/2") down the center of  the DSP gift (2 1/2" x 3 1/2").  Attach the bow to the top of the gift using Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Stamp the mini tag from the Gift Wrapped stamp set in red, and the little holly from the same set in mossy meadow onto the tag; punch out the tag using the Gift Bow Builder Punch
  • Stamp the MERRY from the Festive Corners stamp set and the CHRISTMAS from the Sweetest Time stamp set, both with red ink onto white CS.  Die cut the sentiments using Stitched Rectangles Dies.
  • Die cut some boughs using the Beautiful Boughs Dies from Pear Pizzazz and Mossy Meadow CS.
Here are all the components:

Assemble:

Glue the Whisper White layer (5 3/8" x 4 1/8") to the Real Red card Base.  To this layer glue the sentiments and the pine boughs. Now adhere the gift, that you've already decorated with the ribbon, bows, and tag; I used the Stampin' Dimensionals to pop the gift up off the card front.

How do you like it?  Let me know what you think.

Just imagine making this with any DSP you have, and coordinating the bow to the DSP.  Such possibilities!   Although they are featured in the Aug-Dec Mini Catalog, the stamp set & punch can certainly be used for any gift-giving occasion!
The Gift Wrapped stamp set and Gift Bow Builder Punch are available as a Bundle (155155), saving you 10%.
I hope you found some inspiration from this card.
