Rise & Shine

One of my current favorite stamp sets is Rise & Shine (item 152303) - so very versatile.

This set is one of the Sale-A-Bration 2nd Release items - FREE - with an order of $100.
The two cards that I made are very different - hope you find some inspiration to create one of your own design.

Let's start with this Easter Card.

The products I used are listed below, along with the SU item number.  I'd love for you to go to my online store & shop with me!   And you will earn Sale-a-Bration products with your purchase of either $50 or $100 (before shipping, tax).

  • Card base: Highland Heather cardstock (146986) - 11" x 4 1/4", folded at 5 1/2".
  • Layer of DSP:  Best Dressed DSP (151319) 5 3/8" x 4 1/8"
  • Whisper White CS (100730).  I cut this out using a die from the early release Ornate Layers Dies (152726) that come available APRIL 1 - May 31.  You could also use the Stitched Rectangle Dies (148551)
  • Stamp Sets:  Rise & Shine (mug) (152303); Cup of Cheer Dies (151150),Easter Promise (crocus image) (151544) - stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black (132708), Welcome Easter ("Happy Easter") (151559) - stamped in Granny Apple Green on white CS.
  • Ink:  Highland Heather (147103) for the mug; Highland Heather light Stampin' Blends (146881); Daffodil Delight light Stampin' Blends (144586); Granny Apple Green light and dark Stampin' Blends (combo 147274)
Stamp the crocus image onto Whisper White CS with Memento; color with Stampin' Blends.  Use the die to cut out.
Stamp mug image with Highland Heather onto a piece of white CS; cut with die or fussy cut with scissors.  "Pop up" the mug with Stampin' Dimensionals (104430) to look like the flowers are inside the mug.
Stamp the greeting with Granny Apple Green onto piece of white CS.  Cut out like a banner.  Glue one end to mug, and the other end, adhere a dimensional.
Die-cut little bow in Granny Apple Green; adhere to handle of mug.

Next card -  CELEBRATING YOU...a birthday card.

  • Card base: Night of Navy cardstock (100867) - same dimensions as the Easter Card
  • Whisper White CS, cut with Stitched Rectangles Dies (148551)
  • Poppy Parade CS (119793): cut a square piece 1 3/4" x 1 3/4";  using another piece of Poppy, die-cut a mug shape.  This will go behind the main mug, as a "shadow."
  • Designer Series Paper:  Country Club DSP (151314), from the January-June Mini
  • Stamp sets: for the brushes - Crafting Forever (151231);
  •   ...for the sentiment: Birthday Jubilee (151571)
  •  ...for the mug: Rise & Shine
  •   ...for the small "happy birthday" in background, I used an old stamp set At Home With You, but Itty Bitty Greetings (151331) or A Wish For Everything (149320) would work very well.
  • Dies:  Stitched Shapes (145372) - for the sentiment;  Cup of Cheer (151150) for the mugs.
  • Watercolor Pencils (141709)

Die-cut white CS using Stitched Rectangles, 2nd from largest size.  Stamp the paint brush image with Memento black onto this rectangle, slightly left of center.  Color in the brushes with Watercolor Pencils.
Die-cut out 2 mugs, one with Country Club DSP, one in Poppy Parade (for "shadow); adhere the 2 together, slightly off-setting the poppy parade behind the DSP (see final card picture).  Then adhere with Stampin' Dimensionals over the brush image, to make it look as if the mug is holding all the brushes.

Stamp the "happy birthday" all around, on the background, in Smoky Slate ink (147113).
For the sentiment:
On a piece of white CS, stamp the "celebrating YOU..." in Night of Navy ink (147110); die-cut with the Stitched Shapes dies (145372) the 2nd to smallest square die.  Layer this onto the Poppy Parade, 1 3/4" x 1 3/4".  Add to the card, adhering with Stampin' Dimensionals.

There you have it!  Two cards using Rise & Shine, with completely different looks!
