Stampin' Up!® Circle Sayings & Beautiful Balloons & Countryside Inn

Today's card uses new products!  Just released this month in the new Stampin' Up! 2023-24 Annual Catalog.  To browse the Catalog, click the catalog image in the right-hand panel of this blog.  Click SHOP to hop over to my online store.  A list of  the products for creating this card will be linked at the end of this post.

On my card I used:

  • Beautiful Balloons Bundle
  • Circle Sayings stamp set
  • Countryside Inn 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (DSP)
When you have such beautiful double-sided DSP, how do you choose which side gets featured?  I'll tell you what I did:  I made a fun-fold card that shows off BOTH sides!

I chose my color pallet from the Countryside Inn DSP:  Boho Blue, Balmy Blue, Night of Navy

Here is how I made this card
Base of card
  • Night of Navy card stock, cut 5 1/2" x 4".
  • Cut a piece of DSP 5 1/4" x 11 3/4"; score along the long side at 4" and at 8".  Fold along the score lines, then adhere the center back onto the piece of Night of Navy card stock.  Fold flaps over one another.

Decorate the card front
  • Use Scalloped Contours dies to die-cut piece of Basic White card stock.  Glue to card front.
  • On scraps of Basic White card stock, Stamp balloons from Beautiful Balloons stamp set & die-cut with coordinating dies from the bundle.  I used ink colors Boho Blue & Balmy Blue.
  • Sentiment piece:  Using Circle Sayings stamps, stamp the "celebrate" sentiment in Night of Navy onto piece of basic white.  Stamp the cupcake in Balmy Blue in the center.  Punch this image out using 2 3/8" circle punch.
  • Punch a circle of Night of Navy card stock with 2 1/2" punch. (You could also use 2 sizes of circle dies if you don't have the circle punches.)   Adhere the the sentiment piece onto the navy circle with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Assemble front design
  • Figure out placement of the balloons, upper left corner of the scalloped piece; then, before adhering them, stamp the balloon strings using Night of Navy ink.
  • Now, positioning balloons over the strings, glue the largest balloon and use dimensionals for the smaller 2 balloons.
  • Glue the sentiment piece, (bottom right corner of the scalloped piece).
  • Add embellishments (I added clear dots to balloons, and navy dots to the background.)

Inside flap
I created a balloon with Balmy blue, die cut, and added basic white "fringe" (there's a die for that in the Beautiful Balloons set). "Yay You" stamped in navy.  Glue the balloon to a piece of punched out navy card stock (circle punch, or as I used, the Decorative Circle punch).  Glue it all to the flap.

Finally, the very inside:
Basic White CS, cut 5" x 3 3/4"
Stamp streamers & sentiment from Beautiful Balloons stamp set.

I hope you will try this fun-fold card.  If you'd like any of the items I used (or all of them!) click HERE to see the list.  You can add all the items to your cart, or just select those products you need.
