 Hey!  What's Cookin'?  Happy to have you here today.  

If you viewed my prior posts, you know I love the adorable images in the Joyful Life stamp set!  How about this cute hedge-hog?  I gave him a chef's toque from the What's Cookin' stamp set.  The DSP is called You're A Peach, so naturally the bowl he's carrying is full of peaches.

Dies:  Scalloped Contour Dies

Details for creating this card:

Card base:  Balmy Blue card stock, 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", score/fold at 4 1/4".

Designer Series Paper:  You're A Peach.  Cut this using the large die in Scallops & Contours Dies.  Glue to card base.

Image piece:

• Stamp the hedge-hog in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White CS.
• Stamp the chef's hat (toque) and the sentiment from What's Cookin' stamp set.  In the set, the hat image is a trio - just ink up one of these and stamp it on the hedge-hog's head.
• Die cut using another die from Scalloped Contours Dies.
• Color in the hedge-hog using Stampin' Blends:  Cinnamon Cider, Balmy Blue, Crumb Cake, Pumpkin Pie, Calypso Coral, Old Olive.
• Color a small border of Balmy Blue around the entire image.
• Glue the image piece to the card front.

Here's another version, in the landscape orientation.  The same size card base.  The DSP layer is 5 3/8" x 4 1/8",  and a strip of the flip side of the DSP as an accent piece - cut 1" x 5 1/4" and cut a flag on one end.  Clear embellishments were added, too.   Take a look, below
