Stampin' Up!© Forever Grapevine and Plentiful Plants

Hi!  Welcome to my blog, today.  I have a card to share that combines two plant-themed stamp sets from this year's Annual Catalog:  Forever Grapevine and Plentiful Plants.  Both sets also have coordinating dies.  All the supplies will be listed at the end of the blog.

I started with all the die cutting, then I assembled the cut pieces onto the card base & DSP layers.

The card base is Cinnamon Cider card stock, then a layer of Evening Evergreen card stock, and then the brick wall DSP from the Bloom Where You're Planted Designer Series Paper.  This pack of 12" x 12" DSP, the Plentiful Plants stamp set, and the Perfect Plants Dies are in a Suite of products you can order, called Where You're Planted Suite (Item #155699).  But each is also available separately.  To view the Suite, click SUITE.

The Grapevine Dies are available alone, or with Forever Grapevine stamp set as a Bundle (save 10% when purchasing as a Bundle).  Bundle item #155618.  Click BUNDLE to view, now.

Stamp set and dies I used on this card.

Die cutting:

  • Using the Grapevine Dies, I cut two of the vines, one from Evening Evergreen CS, the 2nd from a piece of You're A Peach DSP.  You could alternatively use a selection from the Bloom Where You're Planted DSP.  The reason I cut the 2nd grapevine from DSP, it had a random pattern of various green shades, and this gave the leaves of the vine more interest than just using a flat green card stock.  The darker Evergreen vine acts as a shadow when layered and glued off-set behind the variegated DSP vine.
  • The hanging plant using Perfect Plant Dies & Plentiful Plants stamps:  use a piece of the same You're A Peach DSP (or whatever variegated green DSP used for the grapevine), stamp the plant image from Plentiful Plants stamps using Evening Evergreen ink, then die cut the image with die from Perfect Plant dies.

Grapevine and plant were die-cut from variegated-green DSP (Bloom Where You're Planted DSP)

  • The macrame plant hanger, from a piece of Basic White CS, using Perfect Plants Dies.
  • The planting pot from a piece of Pumpkin Pie CS, from Perfect Plants Dies..

Assemble:

  • Glue the brick DSP (5 1/4" x 4") to the layer of Evening Evergreen CS (5 3/8" x 4 1/8").
  • Using Stampin' Dimensionals, adhere these layers to the Cinnamon Cider CS card base (8 1/2" x 5 1/2", folded at 4 1/4").
  • Glue the 2 grapevines to one another with Evening Evergreen vine behind the lighter green vine, offset, to give a shadow look.  I used Mulitpurpose Liquid Glue for this.  Then glue it to the card front.
  • Glue the plant to the top of the pot; glue the macrame plant hanger over the top of pot+plant; adhere to card front with dimensionals.
  • Stamp sentiment from Plentiful Plants stamp set using Evening Evergreen ink (or Memento Tuxedo Black ink) onto piece of white CS.  Tuck & glue sentiment behind the plant hanger.

Voila!  That's the card.
