Stampin' Up! Wrapped Bouquet

Hello!  Thanks for visiting my blog & taking a look at my card for today.

I made this for my cousin's retirement.  It could also be used as a graduation card, I think.  Would you agree?

Supplies I used:

  • Stamp sets:  Wrapped Bouquet, Vine Design ("congratulations"), Well Said (the other sentiment).
  • Coordinating Dies:  Wrapped Flowers Dies,  Flowering Vine Dies
When you purchase the stamp sets and dies in their Bundles, you will save 10%. Wrapped Bouquet Bundle - item 156217;  Vine Design Bundle - Item 156266
  • Card base:  Basic Black card stock, 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", fold in half (at 4 1/4").
  • Card stock layer:  Seaside Spray, 5 3/8" x 4 1/8"
  • White card stock for stamping the bouquet image & die cutting; some other pieces of white to stamp the greetings.
  • Embellishments:  Matte black dots (154284), 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots, Linen Thread.
  • Other pieces of card stock:  Old Olive, Mossy Meadow, Pear Pizazz - for the die cut leaves; So Saffron for the 3 little die cut flowers.
  • Stampin' Blends:  Pumpkin Pie combo pack
  • Inks:  Seaside Spray, Memento Tuxedo Black

Steps for making the card:  I did the stamping and die-cutting first; then, once I had all the elements ready, I assembled them onto the card front.

  • Randomly stamp the newsprint image in Seaside Spray ink onto the Seaside Spray card stock.  Glue this to the black card base.
  • Using black ink (Memento Tuxedo Black), stamp the bouquet image onto white card stock.  Die cut it out. Color in the flowers with Stampin' Blends (light & dark Pumpkin Pie).
  • Stamp the "congratulations" and the border around it, from the Vine Design stamp set (black ink onto white card stock); die cut it out using Flowering Vine Dies.
  • Stamp the other sentiment, from Well Said stamp set, using black ink onto a strip of white card stock (trimmed approximately 2/12" x 1/4" and a flag cut on one end).
  • Die cut some extra leaves/foliage using the Wrapped Flowers Dies in various green cardstock (old olive, mossy meadow, pear pizazz).
  • Die cut the small florals using the Wrapped Flowers Dies in So Saffron card stock.
  • Assemble:
    • Glue the "Congratulations" banner at the top of the card.
    • Adhere the extra foliage behind the bouquet using a combination of  Liquid Multipurpose glue and Stampin' Dimensionals;  then adhere all, with Dimensionals, to the card front.
    • Glue the little yellow flowers to the bouquet.
    • Glue the sentiment at one end, and use a dimensional on the flag end, to adhere it over the bouquet image.
    • Using linen thread, make a small bow & adhere to the bouquet using a small glue dot.
    • Add embellishments to the centers of the little flowers (yellow), and to the banner at the top of the card (black matte).

The more I play with Wrapped Bouquet Bundle, the more I love it!  I hope you will give it a try.
