Country Home Hello

HELLO!!  I'm here on a very hot day staying cool inside,  crafting & stamping as we continue to shelter at home.
I have something to share with you.  The Country Home stamp set is a favorite of mine.  Reminds me of some of my tole painting images.

This card is all-purpose: use it for a quick note, a thinking-of-you card, a birthday card (which I'll be using it for), or you name it.

I've used one of the new 2020-2022 In Colors, Misty Moonlight, which I just love!   The other new In Colors are equally beautiful:  Just Jade, Magenta Madness, Bumble Bee, and Cinnamon Cider.   Do you have a favorite?  Still deciding?  Love them all?!

Let's get to the card, and the products I used, and I hope you'll get inspired to do some stamping yourself today.

Stamp sets I used are these:
  • Country Home (147678) - the milk-can-canister image, stamped in Misty Moonlight onto whisper white cardstock.
  • Heart to Heart (151427) - the small heart & leaves image - real red heart, granny apple green leaves, stamped onto the canister.
  • Forever Fern (152559) - stamp leaves in Soft Sea Foam onto white card stock; and the dots image, in real red; also the HELLO in real red, stamped on another pies of white.  To be die cut.
  • Lovely You (152525) - floral image stamped in real red, stamping off a few times to get different intensities; stamp over the leaves.

Dies:  Tasteful Labels Dies (152886) - cut out the floral/leave piece and separately die cut the sentiment
Rhinestone:  Red Rhinestone basic jewels (146924)
Stampin' Blends:  Smoky Slate Combo Pack (154904)

Classic Stampin' ink pads:
  • Misty Moonlight (153118)
  • Real Red (147084)
  • Soft Seafoam (147102)
Papers I used:
  • Card base - Smoky Slate card stock (131202).  8 1/2" x 5 1/2", score/fold at 4 1/4"
  • Layer of Real Red CS (102482) - 5" x 3 3/4"
  • 6" x 6" DSP 2020-2021 In Color collection (153070) - Misty Moonlight, 4 7/8" x 3 5/8"
  • Whisper white CS pieces for the die-cut floral piece, and the die-cut HELLO. (100730)

Now, here are the steps I did, but of course you can do in your own preferred order:
  • Stamp the canister onto white CS; stamp the heart-leaf image onto the cannister; color with Stampin' Blends; fussy cut the canister.
  • Stamp the forever fern leaves onto white CS; stamp over the leaves with the floral image and dots; die-cut with the Tasteful Labels die.
  • Stamp HELLO, die-cut with another of the Tasteful Labels dies.
  • Then I just glued everything, using the Multipurpose Liquid glue (110755).  Add the rhinestone, and you have a lovely hand-created card to send to someone special.
Let me know what you think!
