Another color challenge

This week's color challenge:  Pretty Peacock, Pool Party, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso.

The card I made is a tropical birthday card.

Card Base: whisper white, 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", score/fold at 4 1/4"
Layer of Peacock card stock: 5 1/4" x 4"
Whisper White for stamping the scene:  5" x 3 3/4"
Pool party piece for sentiment & die cut
Stamps:  Timeless Tropical (item #151497), High Tide (143006)
Dies:  Stitched So Sweetly (151690)
Other:  Braided Burlap Trim (151254) and Tropical Oasis Trinkets (151253)

First, some sponging:  Sponge the sky in Peacock, a little over half way down (in portrait view).  Mask off the edge - I just placed a clean piece of cardstock over the sky.  Sponge the ocean in Pool Party, leaving some area at the very bottom of the card for the sand.  Sponge this area of sand in Crumb Cake.

Now, the stamping:  Using the water image from High Tide set, stamp ocean "waves"/surface in Pool Party.  Stamp the trees from Timeless Tropical set in Early Espresso.  Stamp the sentiment from Timeless Tropical set in Espresso onto a piece of Pool Party cardstock; die cut.

Putting the layers together:
Adhere the scene onto the Pretty Peacock cardstock using Mulitpurpose Liquid Glue (110755).  Then adhere the burlap trim, using Tear & Tape Adhesive (138995), wrapping ends around the back of the Peacock CS.  Using Stampin' Dimensionals (104430), adhere the sentiment to card scene, and then, with dimensionals put onto the back of the Peacock layer, adhere this to the white card base.  The trinket was adhered with Mini Glue Dots (103683).

Now it's your turn.  I would love to see what you make, using the colors in this challenge.  Please post on my Face Book page, Julie Petrie Crafts.

Reminder:  The 2020 January - June Mini Catalog will end on June 2.

I don't know if any of the items will make it into the New Annual Catalog.  So if you have any items on your "want list," order soon.
You can see the PDF Catalog by clicking its image on the right side of this blog.

I hope you enjoyed seeing this card!  Leave a comment, or contact me with any questions.
Thank you for stopping by.
